Black Entertainment Television (BET) is diving into cage of MMA with reality show "The Iron Ring". The Iron Ring teams up legit Professional fighters from actual MMA Fight Teams and are sponsored by celebrities from the worlds of hip hop, sports and Hollywood. The celebrities will be a part of the training, culminating in a round-robin tournament.
Representing Saint Louis is MMA World Champion Jermaine Andre' the coach & trainer for Team Nelly! Team Nelly features fighters trained by Jermaine Andre personally, or are members of Jermaine Andre's elite fight team " Ground Zero".
Other celebrities rumored to have fight teams include Snoop Dog, T.I., Dipset, Ludacris, Lil' John, and Maywhether. Other celebrities involved in the show are comedian/actor Eddie Griffin. Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis and brawler Kimbo of internet fame played a part in the selection process.
